Pumpkin Investigations Using Mean, Median, and Mode

Pumpkins have to be one of my favorite fall things — I even love a pumpkin latte. My students, however, don’t usually have pumpkins on their porch or eat pies baked from scratch. I incorporated estimation activities with mean, median, and mode. The result is a pumpkin-scented classroom and happy students engaged and enthralled with their pumpkin and mathematical knowledge.
